WSVI safety valves are designed for overpressure protection of unfired pressure vessels in saturated steam systems.
When the safety valve opens in the presence of an incompressible fluid, the lift of the valve disc is proportional to the extent by which the system pressure exceeds the valve's set pressure. In addition to providing overpressure protection against thermal expansion of liquids, the safety valve also delivers a rapid, full-open "pop" response for systems that contain or generate steam, air, or other gases.
Stainless steel wetted trim components, including the nozzle and disc.
Metal-to-metal seating surfaces, lapped to an optical degree of flatness.
Dual control rings to ensure optimal performance and adjustability.
The safety valve shall feature a high-capacity, cast-iron construction, equipped with corrosion-resistant (stainless steel) stems, springs, and washers, as well as metal-to-metal lapped seating surfaces.
The unit shall comply with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, for steam service applications.
